Delivery record

A delivery record you can check.

Most engineering websites ask you to take their experience on faith. This is the volume AB has actually carried since 2019 — every project logged, every year.

Source: AB Engineering project records. Figures as of 10 October 2026. Counts are published in aggregate only — no client, project, location detail or contract value is disclosed.

1,096 projects logged in 2025, the most recent complete year
851 average per year across the last 5 complete years (2021 onward)
6,886 projects logged in total since 2019
981 logged so far in 2026, with the year still running

Expertise

Six services.
One continuous chain.

Most projects use several of these in sequence, and the handover between them is where schedules usually slip. Keeping them under one roof is the point.
Route and pole data collected on site, so the design starts from what is actually there rather than what the record says.
Explore field surveys
Outside plant route design and construction drawings — aerial and underground — drawn at the level of detail the build actually requires.
Explore OSP design
Inside plant: equipment layouts, rack and frame elevations, fiber distribution, cable routing, power and grounding.
Explore ISP design
Submittal packages built to each agency’s standard, lodged and then chased through review and comment.
Explore permitting
Maintenance of traffic plans for work in and around the right of way, prepared for the authority that approves them.
Explore traffic control
Field redlines reconciled against the design and returned as a clean record set your next contractor can use.

How we work

Everything is tracked from the day it arrives.

Every request that comes in gets a project number, a date received, a category and a location, in the same system, on day one. That is an internal discipline, not a marketing line — but it is also the reason this website can publish a delivery record instead of an adjective.
It means you can ask where a job stands and get an answer rather than an estimate.
01

One number follows the work

Survey, design, permit and closeout stay attached to the same project record, so nothing is re-explained at each handover.
02

Drawings built for the agency that reviews them

Standards differ by municipality and by county. Packages are prepared against the reviewer’s requirements, not a house template.
03

Resourcing that flexes with the programme

Volume in this industry is uneven. Capacity is scaled to the workload rather than holding a queue at a fixed size.
04

Straight answers about what we control

A field window is ours to commit to. An agency review is not. You will be told which is which before the schedule is set.
Client experience

Networks we have engineered for.

Carriers, network operators and the contractors who build for them. Individual relationships and project details stay confidential.
Logos indicate networks AB has performed engineering work on. They are not endorsements, and no statement is made about the current scope or status of any relationship. Confirm publication permissions before launch.
The work

What a year of projects
actually looks like.

Client work is confidential, so instead of case studies this site publishes the shape of the workload — what kind of projects, where, and how many.

Where we work

Three states. One way of working.

AB Engineering takes outside plant work in Florida, Georgia and Illinois — the same team, the same process and the same project system in all three. The head office is in Hollywood, Florida.

  • Florida Head office and primary market
  • Georgia Atlanta metro and south-east Georgia
  • Illinois Outside plant engineering and permitting
Map of the United States Florida, Georgia and Illinois are highlighted as the states where AB Engineering works. The head office in Hollywood, Florida and the Atlanta metro area are marked. Florida Georgia Illinois Hollywood Atlanta

The sequence

Four stages, in order.

Any one of these can be picked up on its own. Taken together they remove the gaps where information usually gets lost.
01

Scope

What you need, what already exists, and what constrains it. Enough to give you a real number rather than a range.
02

Field

Survey and data collection along the route. The step that stops a design being redrawn later.
03

Design & permit

Drawings, traffic control where the right of way is involved, then submittal and agency follow-up.
04

Closeout

Redlines reconciled into an as-built record set, returned in the format your records team works in.
Common questions

Answered plainly.

The questions that come up before a first call. Ask anything else through the assistant in the corner, or send it to us directly.

How many projects do you handle a year?

1,096 were logged in 2025, and the average across the last 5 complete years is 851 a year. 981 are already logged in 2026.

Where do you work?

Florida, Georgia and Illinois. Florida is where the office is and where most of the work has been, concentrated around Miami-Dade, Orange, Broward and Palm Beach but reaching well beyond them.

Can I use just one service?

Yes. Surveys, drafting, permitting, traffic control and as-builts are all taken on individually. Most clients combine them because the handovers are where schedules slip.

What do you need from me to quote?

Location, the phase you need, your target schedule, and anything you already have — a KMZ, a route sketch, prints or a scope document. The brief form asks for exactly that.

What does OSP actually mean?

Outside plant — the physical network outside the building. Aerial and underground routes, conduit, cable, splice points and the structures that carry them. Inside plant, or ISP, is the equipment side once the route reaches a building or cabinet.

Are you a certified minority business?

Yes. AB Engineering Services, Inc. is an NMSDC-certified Minority Business Enterprise, certificate FL068874, through the Florida State MSDC. The certificate is published in full on our About page.
